Today I want to share about “Top 20 most visited websites from China”. This list is created with the help of Alexa Rank Analysis. With China’s giant population of over 1.3 billion, almost all websites below have entered the Alexa Rank Top 100.
Alexa rank 5 – Baidu is a leading Chinese language search engine. Baidu provides more than 50 services such as search, community, Baidu Baike, MP3 music and movies, post bar, map and video.
Alexa rank 7 – QQ is China’s most popular Internet service portal owned by Tencent Group. It provides registered users with a “one-stop online service” including online social games, music, shopping, micro-blogging and voice chat.
Alexa rank 9 – Taobao is the most popular C2C online marketplace in China, similar to eBay and Amazon. Products or service sellers can display their items for sale or resale on the Taobao online shops.
Alexa rank 13 – Sina is a classic Chinese online media and one of the largest Chinese-language web portals. Sina also owns Sina Weibo, a Twitter-like micro-blog social network.
Alexa rank 15 – Hao123.com is China’s largest web directory website. It was founded in 1999. It was originally just a personal website with just function of web directory. But it created a miracle and already became many web users’ home page. Now it is a subsidiary of Baidu, Inc, China’s search engine giant.
Alexa rank 17 – Sina Weibo is a Chinese micro-blogging website, a Twitter-like micro-blog social network. It has 536 million registered users as of March 2013. As another phone app weixin appeared in 2011, it began to loose its popularity.
